“Winemaker for a Minute” Experience is where you step into the shoes of a winemaker for a day by creating your signature blend using McLaren Vale’s renowned Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre varieties. Compete to craft the perfect wine under the guidance of our expert winemaking team whilst enjoying a selection of light bites that perfectly complement your wine experience on the rooftop cellar door, capturing the essence of McLaren Vale.

Designed for those looking to try their hand at winemaking. This gives wine enthusiasts the opportunity to tackle the art of blending and is perfect for those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition and banter. Test your palate against others to determine the wine buffs from the wannabes and ultimately the best GSM blend of the day.

Winemaker for a Minute allows visitors to experiment with blending 3 key McLaren Vale varieties, Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre – all from Haselgrove’s current range to create their own ‘signature’ blend.

Under the expert tutelage of Haselgrove staff, participants will experiment with percentage combinations of different wines until they produce their favourite blend, which can then be bottled, labelled and delivered to your door. Learn what a difference just a few percent of a particular varietal can make to the overall sensory characteristics of a blend. The process is very educational, interesting and fun and great for corporate team building or family and friends' celebrations.
